RUZANN one blood in the form of a DJ/Producer stands apart from the few who assures a wider variety of influences, tastes and basses. Hailing from AHMEDABAD (INDIA) and former inhabitant of LONDON (UK) is currently based in ZURICH (SWITZERLAND).
It all started in late 1999 as his interest towards music and fidgeting with sounds and creating new rhythms started taking shape. He became a Resident DJ in one of the only night clubs during those days in his “dry city” (Ahmedabad). He quickly became a known name in his city as he always kept experimenting with new sounds & different genres. He also got immense coverage from television and print media which grabbed him lot of attention from the locals. Since then he has been performing with various DJS, Artists and Percussionists from all over the world. He collaborated in 2009 with “Steppas Choice” crew of Radio Radius from (Zurich-Switzerland), where he performed 4 back to back live shows. His recently collaborated with Zurich based “MC Staga” which gave birth to the Swiss-Indo collective " Bass & Bak Bak". DJ Ruzann is currently associated with Club Exil in Zurich & has already performed a Live duo act under his very own banner “Bass & Bak Bak”. He is also scheduled to perform more solo & duo acts in club Exil.
Ruzann always experiments with new styles/genres, widening his range, so be it Dubstep, 2Step, Grime, Dub, Tabla Tek, House, Minimal, Garage, Asian Massive, Kuduro… he does it all. His delivery is fuelled by intense bass, some breaky stuff and prominent vocal-samples and cutups. DJ RUZANN’S interpretation of redefining sound is a mix and mash up of different varieties of “Bass” music and is definitely a consequence of adding all the different flavours of his lifetime experience of growing up and living in different countries and cultures.
